The town of Walled Lake, Michigan is a prime example of small town living at its finest. The population of Walled Lake is at about 7,000, and the town itself is only a few miles in diameter, including a lake’s diameter. That should not deter movers or those on long business trips to nearby areas, however, as the town is very beautiful and still has much to offer.
In such a small town, it should come as no surprise that there are only three schools in the area. However, these schools are first-rate educational institutions, allowing students an opportunity to get better grades and score higher on national aptitude tests. Because Walled Lake is so small, students can also typically expect more attention from teachers, since they have fewer students and are more able to focus attention on those who need additional help than teachers in large towns and cities.
Parents seeking more information about the school system in Walled Lake should consult a reliable site such as Great Schools. This site compares the school system of a particular city with that of other schools, in the state and nationwide. It does this by comparing average test scores in the region, then comparing these to those of the other area (or the nation as a whole). It grades the school system on a scale of 1 to 10, with 1 being the worst score and 10 being the best (and 5 being the national average). On this scale, Walled Lake receives a 6 out of 10, proving that they are among a select few scoring at or above the national average.
Another distinctive benefit of Walled Lake is corporate housing. Schools, shopping, and business districts are admirable qualities, but they are virtually useless without somewhere for people to live. Corporate units offer attractive neighborhoods with many services at reasonably priced rates, and they also have the additional benefit of flexible lease agreements. These homes and apartments are completely furnished, from forks to sheets, and all those having to relocate need pack is their clothes. This reduces the hassle from unanticipated moves or extended business trips, and this is a plus for everybody.

The small town of Rochester, Michigan is one of the many suburbs of mega-city Detroit, and one of the smaller of the suburban areas. There is much natural beauty in Rochester, due to the many parks, rivers, and natural forests that surround and cover much of the town’s space. Whether visitors and residents prefer hiking, biking, swimming, or scenic drives, Rochester is the place to be.
There are many historic monuments and historical areas to visit in Rochester. One of the homes of the town’s original settlers is still open for public viewing, and there are dozens of other sites to be explored. In addition, there are museums, exhibits, festivals, and other events that celebrate the town’s rich history. Parades and annual events also provide an entertaining getaway for families and those interested in a break from the daily grind. Rochester boasts some of the finest dining and cultural events in the state, as a matter of fact, and many visitors end up becoming long-term residents after sampling what the small town has to offer.
Celebrities often live in small communities, and Rochester is surely no exception. A few notable names residing or formerly residing in the area include Madonna (who attended high school here), physicist Robert Simpson Woodard, photographer Michael Suhy, and singer/inventor Ed Colini Smith, among many others.
Coming to Rochester can be very much like going home after a long journey, and many people stay after only a short visit to the beautiful area. Plymouth, Michigan is a tiny town built partially over the remnants of an ancient ghost town (Phoenix, MI). Almost seeming to rise from the ashes so to speak, the town is growing in popularity and more people immigrate to this area each year for various reasons. In recognition of the old town, Phoenix Lake remains nearby Plymouth, as a fun place for campers, swimmers, fishing, hiking, and more.
The town of Plymouth is roughly half an hour from downtown Detroit, Michigan. Those who work or attend school in the mega city can easily make the commute to Plymouth, allowing them to experience small town charm with the benefits of big city life combined. There are a host of notable residents making a home of Plymouth, including poet/painter Michael Sturdy, comedian Dan Mac Donell, actor Tom Hulce, writer Jim Burnstein, and PGA golfer Don Gregory, to name a few.
January is a special time in the town of Plymouth, as North America’s largest ice sculpture competition is held. Nearly half a million people cram into the town and surrounding areas each year in order to view or participate in the event, making Plymouth a major tourist attraction at a time of year that many are turned away from the northern part of the United States (mostly due to adverse weather conditions). Michigan’s second largest annual art festival is also held in Plymouth, and the time of year for this spectacular celebration varies based on the weather and other conditions. In the fall, an exciting festival draws large crowds as well.
There is much to do and see in Plymouth, but those attempting to call Plymouth home sometimes need a place to stay temporarily while a permanent home is built, remodeled, or repaired. Those moving due to job relocations and for medical reasons can benefit from Plymouth’s corporate housing market, as can anyone. These units are fully furnished and offer flexible lease agreements, and are typically very affordable. This allows movers to find a permanent home without having to worry about where to stay or for how long, and they need only bring themselves, clothing, and toiletries.

The small town of Okemos, Michigan is rich with Native American history and early American culture. The town was originally settled in the early nineteenth century on Ojibwa land (at the time), and was named to honor Chief John Okemos, who died a year after the town was founded originally. Today, the town bears little resemblance to the home of the chief, and the town has fought hard to remove the political ramifications of being known as the “Chiefs,” although a few places still use the beloved mascot.
Okemos is one of Lansing’s suburbs. In the northern part of the city lies its most attractive feature: a large shopping mall. No matter what walk of life one comes from, being close to areas where things can be bought and stress can be walked off is important, and shopping centers help both create and relieve stress momentarily. In addition, knowing that one does not have to drive into a major city in order to shop is also helpful. Meridian Mall features nearly 150 stores, dining establishments, and shops, with something for almost anyone.
Although the Red Cedar River runs through Okemos, most visitors and residents prefer to spend time at Lake Lansing nearby. With places designated for swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, and boating, this makes a spectacular vacation spot for families, singles, or couples. For residents, it can be a day out with the family, the guys (or girls), or a resort close to home. There are also farmers’ markets, festivals, and many historic monuments in the area for residents and tourists to enjoy.
In addition to the many attractive features already mentioned, Okemos also offers corporate housing. This fantastic short-term housing is a wonderful idea for those moving due to job relocations, medical reasons, home repair/remodel, or natural disaster, and can be very beneficial until a suitable permanent home is found. They are fully furnished, from knives to pillows, and all residents need bring are clothing and toiletries, eliminating much of the hassle from a sudden move. Corporate housing also offers flexible lease arrangements, meaning that residents are not forced to be tied into a conventional 12-month lease unless they so choose. Instead, they can typically pick from 3, 6, and 12-month agreements, and find one that suits their timetable better.

Detroit has many suburbs, some large, some small, and many in between. Southfield, Michigan is one of these suburban areas, and is one of the cities considered to be a larger suburb. The area’s proximity to Detroit makes it very attractive as a home to potential working class members in Detroit, as it offers a smaller version of the mega city, some of the small town benefits with much less of the big city hassle.
Southfield is best known for convention areas and skyscrapers, catering to the big business world and upper-echelon executives and CEOs. In fact, there are five gold skyscrapers in Southfield, collectively called Southfield Town Center, and they boast over two million square feet of space. There are other skyscrapers forming the skyline of the city as well, and the American Center is another popular business attraction in Southfield. Catering to these business boomers, a stunning luxury high rise is found near the skyscrapers, offering residents a view of life in the higher reaches.
However, Southfield does not only appeal to the rich and business-minded. Family-oriented farmers and businessmen who saw the natural beauty and potential for the area originally founded the town in the early nineteenth century. The area developed rapidly and has grown exponentially over the last hundred years or so, reaching nearly eighty thousand year-round residents at any given time. Southfield has long been one of Detroit’s more popular suburbs, and attracts more of those residents wishing to flee life in the fast lane than many other suburban areas.
As is the case with any business-oriented city, there is still room for entertainment. All work and no play would make the city dull, and the cultural offerings are as outstanding as the city itself. A beautiful golf course complete with a swimming pool and a sports arena is in the area, and there are several municipal parks and recreational areas that have been added more recently. Beech Woods Recreation Center and John Grace Community Center are two of the newest, and most popular, of the recreational facilities in Southfield. Movie complexes, theatrical events, and art exhibitions round out the cultural gathering in the city, attracting tens of thousands each year.
Southfield also offers the cost-saving benefit of corporate housing. Unique in that these units often offer luxury amenities such as fully furnished units and flexible leases, they are, however, very reasonably priced and geared toward the lower and middle classes instead of restricted to only the rich. No matter what has caused the sudden move, job relocation, medical reasons, home repair/remodel, or natural disaster, corporate housing is available to fill the gap while a lasting home can be found, built, or repaired.

Dearborn, Michigan, is the tenth largest city in the state of Michigan, lagging only slightly behind such giants as Ann Arbor, Detroit, and similar mega-cities in the making. Europeans in the area settled Dearborn over 200 years ago, and the city still offers many significant historic monuments to this day. Henry Ford, founder of the famous Ford line of vehicles, made Dearborn his home, building his lavish estate in the city many years ago.
Nearly one-third of Dearborn’s population is Arab-American and/or Muslim, making it very attractive to those of the Muslim faith or from a Middle Eastern background. In fact, Lebanese immigrants are so populous in Dearborn that the city has adopted a Lebanese sister-city, Qana.
Ford Motor Company offers the bulk of employment opportunities to this area, obviously. The world headquarters for the automobile line is located in Dearborn, as are many research and engineering facilities, providing jobs and careers for thousands of Michigan residents. The Ford Company owns many of the local businesses and shopping malls in addition to the vehicle facilities, but does not monopolize the area. Carhartt clothing manufacturing giant also makes its home in Dearborn, as does AAA’s Michigan office.

Dearborn offers residents and potential residents unbeatable housing advantages as well. Corporate housing the area offers residents and those relocating to the area a flexible lease agreement and fully furnished homes and apartments in high-class neighborhoods with reasonable rates. The homes/apartments are stocked with everything from blankets to forks, and families need only worry about bringing themselves and clothing, making things like immigration much easier and nearly hassle-free.

Ann Arbor, Michigan is home to many top-notch companies, featuring names such as Pfizer, Arbor Networks, Arbortext, JSTOR, ProQuest, and Mediaspan. These companies help to serve as a backbone community, in conjunction with the University of Michigan located in Ann Arbor. The bustling town is home to many different people, from many different walks of life, and the residents chose this area for a variety of reasons.
A major reason to choose Ann Arbor, Michigan as home is the apparent wealth of available and higher-paying jobs in the area. Although pharmaceutical giant Pfizer closed its doors in 2008, the University of Michigan bought out the area and has since employed many workers to continue in the fields of research and engineering.
For those wishing for a taste of high-society, Ann Arbor also offers spectacular museums and historic monuments. In addition to the artwork and exhibits of the University, local museums also feature prominent pieces that are displayed nearly year-round. In addition, the seasonal Art Fairs and Film Festivals offer a different type of culture than that normally seen in more urban areas, giving residents an opportunity to advance their knowledge in many different ways.
Ann Arbor has much to offer residents and potential residents, including corporate housing. Whether families are searching for a change from the big-city life of Detroit or a shorter commute to local career fields, corporate housing is the key to an important and potentially life-changing decision: where to live in case of unexpected home needs. Those relocating for a variety of reasons can take advantage of unconventional leases, fully furnished homes, and beautiful neighborhoods. Regardless of whether the reason is medical, personal, or business-related, corporate housing is the best choice for those faced with no place to live in the short-term while a more permanent home is found.

Detroit is the largest city in Michigan and one of the United States’ largest cities as well, founded over three hundred years ago by the French and looking south to Canada, a unique and distinct advantage unheard-of in the rest of the United States. There are nearly one million residents in Detroit, making it the eleventh most populated city in America.
About the View
This city has one of the nation’s most memorable skylines and offers many distinctly big-city advantages. The first and foremost of these is career opportunities. With many mega-corporations making Detroit home, especially in the automotive industry, there are many jobs available at any given time for those willing to work. From high-rise skyscrapers to local small businesses, there is something for nearly everyone.
Historic Locations
Detroit offers many historic locations, including whole neighborhoods of historically-rich monuments and homes. Many of these are recognized in nationally acclaimed magazines and listings, making the area a virtual magnet for students of all ages. In addition, markets and fairs make the big city unforgettable no matter the season, with the most famous being Detroit’s Eastern Market originally opened in the late nineteenth century and a cultural masterpiece.
Housing Needs
Housing can be a problem in any major city, as residents and potential residents fight over apartments and rental homes while more permanent housing is sought, built, or repaired. From immigrants to those moving due to health problems, Detroit’s corporate housing is the key to this problem. With fully furnished units offering everything from spoons to washcloths, families, couples, and singles need only worry about bringing themselves and clothing. In addition, lease agreements are very flexible, so when a permanent home is found, it is not an additional hassle to move.
